"It took a while for them to get around to finishing the work. What I liked about them is, I had gotten 3 estimates and the 2 other people that I had who came out and gave estimates told me that I had to replace the entire window. When Advance Roofing Windows Siding & Doors came out they told me that I didn’t need to replace the windows, all I needed to do was replace the glass. They said that they would take the glass out and replace the glass. They did it for a very reasonable price. It took them a while to get around to doing it. I needed 2 pieces of glass and they only ordered 1; so when they came to install the glass, they realized there was only 1 piece and had to wait for the other one. "...Joe Bailey responded to my call for an estimate. He came to our home took measurements, I showed him my attic, showed him the underlayment and bad wood. He said they would replace all that was bad or repair it. They did so. . They took off all the old roof installed a ridge vent, and they did all that the contract entailed. When they finished, they cleaned up all the debris from the job. There was no " I'll have to come back in a day or two to do this or that." All the material was delivered to the jobsite and work proceeded. The price was right, the work was A1 and they didn't fool around. And by the way, if you go on Angie's List they give up to 20% off the the estimate for the job. Very professional, no bull when work starts, and no excuses to finish the job. And most important there are no extras when the job starts or ends. Good old fashioned honest to goodness workmanship. I recommend this company to anyone who needs a roofer. "Other than the permitting process, it went great. First of all, the permitting in Radnor Township was an issue. Advance was replacing an existing deck that was part of the original house and on the original house plans. We believed the permitting process to take one to two weeks. Radnor Township lost the first permit application. Weeks after it was refilled, they came back and said that we needed a grading permit since they had no record of a original permit. Since the deck was part of the initial construction for the house in 1989, I’m not sure they would have a separate deck permit. We called Radnor a week later and they told us that they had no record of the permit. After a couple of days, they called back and said they found it. It took over 6 weeks to have the permit issued. Once the permit was issued, Advance schedule Frank, the deck installer to start work a week later. It took about a week to remove the old deck, dig the footers, have the holes inspected, pour the footers and build the substructure. The deck surface rails and steps went on in a couple of days. Advance worked well with our plumber, who installed a gas line for a grill. Overall, we couldn’t be happier with Advance and the work they did. "The salesmen was well prepared and knowlegable. He explained why he thought Advance did a better job without trashing every other builder. He checked our attic to inspect the wood and didn't see any problems. Another estimator told us all our wood would have to be replaced. The actual job was delayed due to weather and was started on a Saturday. It was obvious it wouldn't be completed in one day, but we weren't told if they would finish Sunday or Monday. There was no forman initially at the job. Maybe because it was Saturday. They finished on Monday and the roof looks great. Clean up was thorough and a forman did come by on Monday and then again the next day to have them finish some minor details. The guys that replaced the door were excellent. On time, professional and very pleasant. They explained what they were going to do and finished in less than 4 hours.
